Kids Yoga

At Sahasra Yoga, we also conduct yoga classes for children.

Following are the benefits that the children can realize from practicing yoga:
  • Yoga helps children physically to become more flexible and coordinated
  • Enhances self-awareness. Children who practice yoga will learn to tune
    their bodies. Self-esteem is bolstered as the children gain control over their
    body and mind
  • Enhances or stimulates imagination
  • Teaches them self-discipline
  • By practicing yoga, children can learn ways to relax and will have the
    ability to control stress. For instance, anxiety may affect a child before an examination and in this case breathing techniques of yoga helps them to
    calm down and focus
       
 
The children will also be thought and they will realize the following:
  • Body awareness
  • Breath awareness
  • Exercise which involves sun salutations i.e. 'Asthanga',
    seated postures, inclined postures, reclining postures, backbends
    and twisted postures
